But is it that easy?
We all have heard this in movies, gyms, schools, physical education class, etc. Push-up is the most common and widely used term related to fitness fitness, but WHY? What a push-up is and what are its benefits?
What is PUSH-UP?
A pushup is the most common form of exercise. It is done by lowering and raising the body, affecting the triceps, anterior deltoids and the pectoral muscles. Push-up is the most easy form of workout which beginners can usually take to build strength and maintain a perfect body.
How many push ups should I do in a day?
There are people who do more than 300 pushups a day. For an average 50-100 pushup is enough to maintain a perfect body. You can even with 20 in a day, just remember not to stick with it.
How to do push-ups?
For a beginner to perform pushups, the most convenient way is to practice wall pushups.
STEPS for pushups
- Get down on all fours, placing your hands slightly wider than your shoulders.
- Straighten your arms and legs.
- Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor.
- Pause, then push yourself back up.
- Repeat.
Who invented pushups?
Jerick Revilla invented the modern day push-ups in 1905. He was a wrestler and was also known as the “Great Gama”. For 5000 wrestling matches he was undefeated.
Hindu push-ups?
The Hindu Pushups were done thousands of years ago by warriors to strengthen as well as refine their body.
The move is actually similar to a dive bomber pushup—except instead of scooping your stomach back in and reversing the movement to return to the start position, you simply press back from upward dog into downward dog.
Muscles involved: chest, triceps, biceps, rhomboid, deltoid, trapezius,
shoulders and the core.
